Fatima Ambedkar Birsa Periyar Phule Savitribai Students and Workers Association at Rutgers University along with the Global Asias Anti-Caste Thought Graduate Working Group and the South Asian Studies Program observe April as the Dalit History Month to honor the centuries of struggle against caste-based oppression in South Asia and beyond. On the occasion of their birth anniversaries, the collectives also come together to celebrate the legacies of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule.
