This summer, the ALC/East Asian Library received a gift of Girls’ and Boys’ Day dolls from the late Akiko Seidelbach (1922-2022), a Nagasaki A-Bomb survivor and a NJ resident. Along with the display of the dolls, Professors Schalow and Wakabayashi have organized the exhibit, “Akiko’s Dolls: The Story of a Nagasaki A-Bomb Survivor” at the East Asian Library of the Alexander Library.

Join us in celebrating Akiko-san’s 100th Birthday and the opening of the exhibit! We will be joined by her friends who will share her stories with us.
