The Program in Cinema Studies is organizing a special screening of Suman Mukhopadhyay’s recent film THE PUPPET’S TALE on November 18, 2025 from 5:30 PM at the Teleconference Lecture Hall (TLH-4th floor) inAlexander Library, College Ave Campus. The event is co-sponsored by AMESALL, South Asian Studies Program, the Global Asias Initiative, and Rutgers Libraries. The event will be followed by a Q&A session with the director.
Putulnacher Itikatha (The Puppet’s Tale) is based on modernist writer Manik Bandopadhyay’s celebrated Bengali novel of the same name. The film has been featured at several international festivals, receiving both critical acclaim and commercial success.
